Alison Heath, LPN | Partner/Co-Founder
Alison grew up in the area and considers herself a proud “Wilmingtonian”. She has twelve years experience as a nurse and has worked in various areas. She loved the excitement of the Emergency Room which is where her career began, but transferred to Rehabilitation Services where she became a lead nurse working with patients who suffered brain injuries. Her latest role was a primary care nurse in family medicine where she spent the last six years. Alison has a great passion for helping others and says, “being a nurse is one of the most rewarding things I’ve ever done.” She started Home Call Nurse because she wanted to provide the community with a convenient healthcare service that caters to their family by always putting them first. Alison is married with four step-children and enjoys being outside, going to the beach, playing the guitar, and crocheting.
Brad Heath | Partner/Co-Founder
Brad (Alison’s other half) is an accomplished and articulate executive that utilizes various analytical processes to propel revenue and growth with the best interest of the patient, company, and employees. He attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, has a strong technical knowledge, and is proficient in integration and execution of multifamily business processes and programs. He is also an expert in online marketing and customer service processes. He takes pride in the development of a business he incorporated with his father in 1994 which has grown into one of his greatest successes. Brad enjoys spending time with his four children, boating, fishing, water skiing, going to the gym, and date nights with his wife.
Yashica Ruffin, MD MPH
Dr. Ruffin is a graduate of Saint Augustine’s University, where she was a Presidential Scholar during her 4 years obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She attended New York University’s Steinhardt School of Education where she completed a Master of Science in Public Health. Dr. Ruffin is a graduate of Ross University’s School of Medicine where she maintained the Eliza Ann Grier full Academic scholarship during her 4 years of study. During her training in the Grant Family Medicine Residency, she was selected as one of the program’s Chief Residents. Dr. Ruffin is Board Certified in Family Medicine, serves as a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, and has practiced for almost 10 years. She is passionate about the overall Health and Wellness of all patients, and currently works to treat and advocate for those struggling with substance abuse. She is a North Carolina native and is originally from the Raleigh area. She is a proud wife and mother of two children.
Brandon Ludlum, MPAS, PA-C
Brandon, a born and raised Wilmingtonian, is dedicated to improving the health and well being of his hometown. His career advancement in the medical field began in 2013 when he graduated from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with his Bachelor of Science in Biology. During this time he gained 4 years of hands-on experience at a level II trauma center hospital, two years of which he worked in Cardiovascular ICU. With the support of his family and dedication to medicine, he went on to pursue the Physician Assistant Studies Program where he graduated in 2016 from Wingate University. He began his career in the cardiothoracic surgical step-down unit at Duke University Hospital and has since relocated back to Wilmington – the place he calls home. Brandon loves fly fishing, boating, and spending time with his wife and their 10 year old daughter.
